It’s good to counterbalance lots of pretty pictures with harsh reality. West Linton also gets its fair share of crappy weather and this weekend it has rained almost non-stop.
I snapped this a couple of weeks ago during another period of incessant rain. This was just before our single track Moor Road to Penicuik was closed for three weeks so that Scottish Power can dig a ditch along the verge and lay a high voltage cable into the village from their substation only half a mile away – using just two men and a toy digger!
Oh well, it’s only a little village after all… it doesn’t really matter if folk are inconvenienced.
